Photography has been one of my hobbies ever since I bought my first camera in December 1980. It was a Nikon EM – a semi-automatic film camera with electronic shutter, but also featuring one mechanic shutter speed, just in case the battery ran out 😉
Over time I’ve had several cameras, including some compact digital cameras. I’m happy to be back with a real SLR: Still in the lower enthusiast range, but it’s also important that the gear is practicable to carry when travelling. Nowadays the major part of my pictures are from my journeys.
